
Foundation of Corporate Sustainability (ESG)
Course Objective
The objective of the “Foundation of Corporate Sustainability (ESG)” course is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the key concepts, frameworks, and practices related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors in the business context. By the end of this course, participants will have a solid foundation to demystify the context of sustainability/ESG, interpret ESG indicators, comprehend sustainable business models, grasp various sustainability frameworks, and create ESG reports effectively.
Course Outcomes: Two sessions on Jan 18th and Jan 20th of 3 hours each.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

- Identify and explain key ESG indicators related to environmental, social, and governance aspects.
- Evaluate the relevance of ESG indicators for different industries and sectors.
- Analyze the role of ESG indicators in measuring a company’s performance and impact.
- Comprehend Sustainable Business Models:
- Explore various sustainable business models and their implications.
- Analyze case studies to understand how sustainable business models contribute to long-term success.
- Evaluate the challenges and opportunities of adopting sustainable business practices.
- Grasp Various Sustainability Frameworks:
- Gain insights into different sustainability frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and SDGs.
- Understand the structure, objectives, and application of each framework.
- Compare and contrast different sustainability frameworks to choose the most suitable one for a specific context.
- Create Effective ESG Reports:
- Learn the essential components of an ESG report, including data collection and analysis.
- Understand the role of transparency and accountability in ESG reporting.
